This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Interested candidates who are Current, Permanent Federal Employees Psychologist - CBSS-EA-11252508-22-SO LPMHC - CBSS-EA-11252510-22-SO MFT - CBSS-EA-11252512-22-SO Interested candidates who are not Current, Permanent Federal Employees Psychologist - CBSS-EA-11252507-22-SO LPMHC - CBSS-EA-11252509-22-SO MFT - CBSS-EA-11252511-22-SO The PCMHI psychologist will have an opportunity to work outside the boundaries of a traditional outpatient mental health clinic and be located in a primary care and hospital medical setting. Services will include a combination of face-to-face and telemental health/VA Video Connect applications. In addition, the psychologist will work in collaboration with the Behavioral Health Laboratory (BHL) Care Management Team to assist in the delivery of measurement based care to patients treated in the primary care setting. Psychological practices within PCMHI will include rapid assessments, time-limited psychotherapy, health promotion and prevention-oriented services, and recovery focused care coordination services. The psychologist will also have opportunities to perform psychological evaluations and interventions related to a variety of medical conditions and chronic pain. Psychotherapeutic interventions may include Motivational Interviewing (MI), brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Depression, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Problem Solving Therapy (PST), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Motivational Enhancement Techniques (MET) for substance abuse. Finally, in collaboration with primary care teams, this position will support a VHA move beyond pathology based services and into Whole Health practices, which also focuses on "what matters to you" and not just "what matters with you." These combined opportunities make PCMHI one of the most unique and versatile positions within the Behavioral Health Service Line.
